Dr. Zachary George

About Dr. George

Zachary George, MD, obtained a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry, magna cum laude, at Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana, and a Doctor of Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine, graduating in the top 10 percent of his class. He also completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Indiana University and a general cardiovascular disease fellowship at the Krannert Institute of Cardiology where he served as the chief fellow of cardiology. Additionally, he completed a coronary and peripheral interventions fellowship at the Krannert Institute of Cardiology. Dr. George is board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine. He specializes in cardiology and interventional cardiology.

Dr. George strives to make a positive impact on the lives of his patients by helping them overcome their illnesses. He enjoys challenges and finds great satisfaction in finding solutions to difficult problems. In addition to his medical practice, Dr. George has experience in peripheral arterial disease interventions, structural heart procedures, ASD/PFO closures, pulmonary embolism thrombectomy, high-risk coronary interventions, cardiogenic shock, and impella/mechanical circulatory support.

Dr. George fell in love with Utah in 1998 when he first visited. He has wanted to live here for the last 23 years and was finally able to bring his family here from South Carolina. If you have ever been somewhere to visit and just had the feeling that you were home, then you know how he feels about Southern Utah. The canyons and mountains are his favorite place in the world, and he looks forward to making an impact on the people of Utah.

When he is not taking care of patients, Dr. George enjoys canyoneering, rappelling, climbing, camping, and hiking.
