David Boorman, MD, obtained a Bachelor of Science in psychology, magna cum laude, and a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Utah, where he graduated as the top medical student of his graduating class. He also completed an internship, a residency, and a cardiology fellowship at the University of Utah. Dr. Boorman is board certified in cardiovascular diseases and internal medicine with the American Board of Internal Medicine. He specializes in cardiology and coronary intervention.
Dr. Boorman pursued a career in medicine because he wanted to help people. Dr. Boorman practices general cardiology and pacemaker implantations. His primary focus is complex coronary intervention, especially radial primary PCI for acute myocardial infarction and acute coronary syndrome patients. Dr. Boorman has served on many hospital boards throughout his distinguished career and is currently serving as the Chairman of the Cardiology department at Dixie Regional Medical Center.
In addition to his busy professional life, Dr. Boorman enjoys spending time with his wife, Erin, and his two children. When not at home or seeing patients, Dr. Boorman enjoys playing his favorite sport, golf.
